Bayview is about as far off the main corridor as we get on this side of the panhandle. Coming out from Hayden, it's roughly 18 miles northeast — you take Highway 54 through Athol and then drop down toward the lake on Perimeter Road. The drive tells you everything about what to expect: forested hillsides, long driveways, properties that were either built as summer cabins decades ago or are newer waterfront builds that someone uses year-round.
